His EDI+ project asks whether diversifying work‑based higher education can widen access to energy education and strengthen diversity within the future energy research workforce.

Anna’s research focuses on systems engineering, design cognition, home energy and circularity, with a strong emphasis on human‑centred and inclusive design. Her EDI+ project asks how energy devices and energy‑related decision‑making processes can be more inclusive, accessible and responsive to diverse user needs across homes and communities.

Her EDI+ project asks how Brexit, the pandemic and UK visa processes have affected recruitment of marginalised groups at undergraduate, postgraduate and postdoctoral levels across academic faculties.

Karen’s research focuses on solid‑state NMR, powder diffraction and DFT to study perovskites, organometallics, pharmaceuticals and lithium‑ion battery electrode materials. Claudia’s research is on inclusive postgraduate education and student experience, informed by expertise in research management and doctoral training. Dominika’s research spans multidisciplinary materials science, including materials processing, corrosion, nanopowders, adsorption and novel functional materials for energy applications. Her EDI+ project asks whether it is possible to create safe, confidential spaces where staff can share concerns and experiences openly, without fear of HR repercussions or breaches of trust.
